All SIM sizes are supported by NES Mobile

Whether you need a Micro, Nano or regular SIM size – ALL Israel SIM card types are supported by NES Mobile.

With NES Mobile you do not pay any “Activation” Fees.

We also do not require you to send the SIM back to us once your rental is over. Actually, we encourage you to keep the SIM for future trips, this way you save time as you do not need to wait till we ship you a new SIM.

When you start planning a new trip, simply signup again and indicate that you already have a SIM card.

Then, we will simply reactivate the SIM you already have – and – you’re DONE!  It is that simple.

Please note – you will probably not be assigned the same Israeli number you had on your last visit, as we reuse the numbers all the time.

If you would like to keep the same number – no problem. For a small annual fee, we will put that number aside for you and whenever you return to Israel, you will have the same number.

In case you have a new phone – you may need to order a new SIM type from us after all.

What should I do in case of lost or stolen phone?

During work hours, please call NES Mobile at 052-22-55-345. In the event that there is no answer on this line, please follow the next step:

  1. Send an email headed: Urgent – Lost phone/
  2. During non-work hours, call Cellcom directly at 052-999-0123 (from outside of Israel, dial +972-52-999-0123), and request that the line be temporarily disconnected, preventing any outgoing calls from being made.

Your line will still be able to receive incoming calls for five days after disconnection. This gives you some time to try and track down the missing phone.

Remember: You are responsible for any usage on the phone until the loss or theft has been reported.

Mobile Hotspot – Battery

The battery of the mobile hotspot will usually hold for an average of 4 hours of usage. This, of course, depends on cellular reception and actual usage. In other words, if you are, say, in the Judea Desert or Massada and you are uploading a movie you just made, the battery may drain faster.

But, there is also good news; our Israel mobile hotspot will also work with an external power bank. This means that you can add several more hours of work with the device, depending on the power banks’ capacity.

With NES Mobile, you can rent an Israel phone or get an Israel SIM card. Bringing your cell phone from home to Israel is easy – but to use our service, there are some technical requirements:

  1. Your phone must use a SIM card (most new phones nowadays have SIM cards)
  2. Make sure your phone is unlocked (i.e. not programmed to work exclusively with your original carrier’s network). You can ask your carrier to unlock it for a short while.
    1. One way to test if your phone is unlocked: try inserting different carriers SIM card into your phone. For example, if you use a Verizon SIM, try inserting an AT&T SIM into your phone. If the phone registers on the AT&T network, your phone in unlocked!
  3. Your phone must be a GSM phone with the following frequencies: GSM 900 MHz & 1800 MHz, UMTS 850 MHz & 2100 MHz or 4G LTE. Most new smartphones have quad bands (so they will work in Israel).
  4. Please note we cannot guarantee compatibility of outside phones.
