Great device. Used it to travel throughout the country. Great customer service.

This is the fourth year I have used NES Mobile and it’s modem without any problems. I was in Tel Aviv, Kinneret, Mitzpe Ramon and Jerusalem. I recommend anyone to use the modem service when in Israel for it’s reliability and total service. Remember, if you have problems, you can always contact them. If you are in T.A. and sometimes elsewhere, there are NES related outlets that may also be able to help you.

The service I received using the 4G mobile hotspot during my time in Israel was perfect. I had zero issues using the device regardless of where we were on the tour. My husband was leading our group through the land of Israel and I came a long for the two week trip but I still had to work remotely from Israel. I was a bit concerned that I would not have good service near the Kinnert (sea of Galilee) because I’ve struggled to have service in that region with other hotspot services on prior trips but Nes worked like a dream!! I was able to lead meetings on video calls with no issues. From the moment we touched down in Tel Aviv and I turned on the device it worked with no issues. I hate to go on and on but not having service during this trip was a big concern for me and Nes relieved that concern. I did not have any issues with the battery draining quickly. From Tel Aviv, to the Golan Heights, to Jerusalem, and even Shiloh, it worked perfectly. THANK YOU NESmobile (I now know why it’s called Nes, meaning Miracle in Hebrew!) I will be a repeat customer!

The service on the WiFi HotSpot was very good (much better than on the Verizon travel plan that I was using on another phone) and as long as you bring a battery extender, it will work the entire day. Pick and drop off and customer service were excellent.

  5. Rated 5 out of 5

Fair quality LTE. Good customer service. Device did not initially work as the SIM card was missing. After some trouble shooting they had a replacement delivered with a refund of the days I was unable to use my device.

The WiFi Mobile HotSpot worked perfectly.
As you can read on some reviews, the charge doesn’t hold at all, that’s why the best thing to do is to plug a good external battery to it and you are good to go.
We rent it in USA, got it in a couple of day, then activated (as instructed by NES) and as soon as we got to Ben Gurion we where connected.
We use this MIFI in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Masada, Dead Sea, Golan Heights, Rosh Anikra (Lebanon border)….while driving, walking, riding scooters in Tel Aviv and in hotels. This thing really works. We where streaming video, watching Netflix, uploading photos….Never a problem. We where 4 using it at the same time. I highly recommend it.

  7. Rated 4 out of 5

The mobile hotspot worked perfectly. Our only concern was that it did not hold a good charge, so we had to keep it plugged into an external battery pack at all times. When plugged in, it provided steady – and fast –
    Internet access.

We used this device for 2 weeks, traveling all over Israel. Worked great and gave us the peace of mind to be connected while traveling. Highly recommend this service and would definitely use them again for future trips!

  9. Rated 5 out of 5

Fantastic and very easy to work with service provider, would highly recommend for anyone travelling in ISRAEL.

  10. Rated 4 out of 5

Great when it worked. Loved having it for the family of five. Only issue is the fast drain on battery. Need to always have a portable charger or car charger.

  11. Rated 5 out of 5

So necessary for my travels for both business and connecting to family: convenient and simple.

  12. Rated 4 out of 5

Very good service. Mifi device worked everywhere we went (between Jerusalem and the Golan). Device held a charge with ongoing use (sometimes by multiple ipads) for several hours. Occasionally would stop working but just needed to be turned off and on again. Overall a good service.

Just spent 10 days in Jerusalem, and relied on the MiFi device to connect my computer with my office in California. The reception was excellent allowing me to give on-line presentations over zoom. I’ve used the NESMobile device now for a few years and its performance has certainly improved. Sometimes, even when I’m staying in a rental unit that has its own modem, I’ve found the connection through the Mifi device to perform better and be more stable than the rental unit’s wireless connection. Thank you NESMobile.

I travel to Israel once a year for 2 weeks. The NES hotspot has always kept me in contact with my work and family, it is a great bargain and always worked where ever I was in Israel

  15. Rated 5 out of 5

I used these folks in 2013, 2014 and now I’m using them again for my latest trip. I’ve always found them more than professional, timely, and offer a great service at a fair price. Although I will they had 6 month and year plans instead of monthly, with steeper discounts. Wishful thinking

  16. Rated 5 out of 5

Excellent Performance, no problems. Further, when I had an issue, NES directed me to a store and the friendly store manager there fixed the problem

  17. Rated 5 out of 5

We did a lot of driving so having the wifi on so we could use waze all the time was invaluable. The equipment worked perfectly in all areas and held a charge for many hours. We borrowed a car charger from a relative to avoid outages but rarely needed it. The post office did not deliver the equipment as scheduled before the trip so I emailed the company on the way to the airport and they went out of their way to deliver the equipment to our destination in Israel so it was ready and waiting for us upon our arrival. What wonderful service!

  18. Rated 5 out of 5

Very buttoned up. They responded in a timely fashion to all of my questions. The mofi does need charging if you are planning to use it for an entire day. Very Very buttoned up. They responded very promptly to my email questions. Make sure you have a connector with a USB on one end and the appropriate mini plug on the other. I do believe that NES should supply this.
    Good company. Good product.

The service was great. Having wifi all the time made it possible for me to stay in touch with the office while on vacation. Thanks.

Used by our daughter for her Birthright trip. She’s an “older” BR participant needing to so some work while there. She’s rather tech savvy and was very pleased with the MIFI hotspot both for the quality of the connection and the it’s geographical range (often in the bus). Everything worked and was on schedule as expected. I think she was able to share the connection with some of her new friends as too. Thumbs up!

    Worked out great!

I returned the router and charger to the airport postal station before we left Tel Aviv yesterday at noon. As always — worked like a charm!

    Hi NES Mobile,
Just returned to California and wanted to say that your MIFI modem was a life-saver.
Performance was excellent and allowed me to remote desktop into my server in California w/ hardly any delay even on screen redrawing.
Really really good. I will definitely be using it for future trips.
    Thank you

Wow! This is great news! Thank you very much for the notice.

I want to congratulate both how the MiFi device works and your disposition to solve all of the issues and questions I had.

    Best regards,

If you are planning on bringing an unlocked smart phone to Israel, you will need to set up the data services APN on your phone so your phone will be able to connect to the Cellular Internet network. NOTE: Virtually all  iPhone 5, 6,7 Phone Models have automatic APN settings and do not require any changes.

APN – Access Point Name

Most unlocked Android phones will automatically work with Nes Mobile’s Israel SIM card. So there would be not need to change the Israel SIM card APN data settings. If you run into problems trying to use your data, please try the following steps:

  1. Check in the settings that 3G/4G LTE data is enabled
  2. Check that the Cellcom APN is enabled. If you don’t know how to configure the APN, try following these steps:
For Android Phones:

VAT (Value Added Tax) is the equivalent of a sales tax in many countries. As of August 2017 Israeli VAT is 17%. VAT is added to all sales and services and is generally included in the price. In some cases tourists are exempt from VAT and in other cases, tourists to Israel need to apply for a VAT Refund.

Please Note: Israel SIM cards and phone rentals, are NOT exempt from VAT for tourists. Most companies providing such services tend to hide that in the fine print. However, NES Mobile, known for its integrity and quality service, clearly displays that you must add VAT to SIM and pocket wifi rentals.

More info –   find out which products and services are VAT exempt for tourists

Pocket WiFi Rental with Unlimited Internet in Israel

When visiting Israel, many tourists require an unlimited internet connection to stay connected to their loved ones or businesses. Some hotels charge a large fee for the internet connection, which is only available in the hotel and often, the WiFi connection at the hotel will be slow. One small Pocket Wifi Mobile Hotspot device can change all that and provide you with an unlimited internet connection: A Pocket WiFi Device through which you can have unlimited Internet in Israel.

The Benefits of a Pocket WiFi

Many travelers who come to Israel love to utilize NES Mobile’s Pocket WiFi rental because it gives them an excellent and unlimited WiFi connection all over Israel.  There are many additional reasons why they really adore this device, including some of the following:

  1.  As a tourist, you will be asked to pay a large amount of money for roaming charges if you use your USA provider, but with NES Mobile’s Israel Pocket WiFi, you will only be charged a low daily rate for UNLIMITED and quick internet connection!
  2.  If you opt to stay in a hotel in Israel, they may charge you as much as $25 per night for just one device that you can only use when you are at the hotel – speed will vary based on occupancy and the hotel connection. However, if you choose to rent NES Mobile Pocket WiFi, you will have great internet connection all around the country (not just in your hotel room). The Mobile Hotspot unit can connect up to 5 devices at once!
  3.  The NES Mobile hotspot uses Cellcom’s network, which is the largest internet provider in Israel.

Why is NES Mobile Pocket WiFi The Best In Israel?

  1.  NES Mobile’s Hotspot offers Unlimited services with no “slow down period”.Unlike other providers that slow down the connection after you use 3-5 Gigs, with the NES device, there’s no slow-down at all!
  2.  NES Mobile Pocket WiFi can be used even when charging unlike other devices which don’t function while charging the unit; an important advantage when the average battery of a Mobile Hotspot device lasts 2-4 hours. If you need a longer battery life, we strongly recommend bringing a power bank or an external battery with a Micro USB connection to charge the pocket WiFi while outdoors.
  3.  NES Mobile has no deposit fees and no hidden fees. Another wonderful thing about the NES Mobile Hotspot is that the insurance fee is already included in the price. Remember that you will only pay for it when you arrive in Israel. This means that even if the Pocket WiFi device is already delivered to you in the USA seven days before you travel, you will not be obliged to pay and when you go back to your place, you will be provided with an additional week before returning the Mobile Hotspot device to NES Mobile.

So, when you visit Israel, order the NES Mobile Pocket Wifi – that offers the best UNLIMITED internet connection in Israel.

Mobile Hotspot – Battery

The battery of the mobile hotspot will usually hold for an average of 4 hours of usage. This, of course, depends on cellular reception and actual usage. In other words, if you are, say, in the Judea Desert or Massada and you are uploading a movie you just made, the battery may drain faster.

But, there is also good news; our Israel mobile hotspot will also work with an external power bank. This means that you can add several more hours of work with the device, depending on the power banks’ capacity.
