Life in Israel has reverted to a state that is close to normal, thanks to the country’s high vaccination rate. The statute prohibiting the use of face masks being repealed entirely in June 2021. So can tourists travel to Israel now? From July, Israel will be accessible to tourists under certain restrictions.

Can Tourists Travel to Israel?
The proposed policy is that Israel will open its borders top to tourists on July 1, 2021. Travelers will be allowed to Israel based on the following requirements will be in place (the proposed policy is subject to final government approval):
Tourists vaccinated with vaccines approved by the United States or the European Union
Tourists from the USA & EU vaccinated by Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca, Johnson and Johnson, will be permitted to enter Israel with the following documents and requirements:
- A certificate of vaccination.
- Prior to the travel, results from negative PCR corona test was performed.
- Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, a PCR test will be performed.
- A PCR test is required before leaving Israel.
Tourists vaccinated with vaccines NOT approved by the United States or the European Union
Tourists vaccinated with other vaccines, will be allowed to enter Israel with the following documents:
- A certificate of vaccination.
- Prior to the travel, results from negative PCR corona test was performed.
- Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, a a quick serology test (finger prick) will be performed.
- A PCR test is required before leaving Israel.
Tourists who have not been vaccinated but have recovered from Covid-19
It’s still unclear what would be the policy for Tourists who have not been vaccinated but have recovered from Covid-19. They will either be denied entry, or will be required to have a serology test done ahead of travel.
Tourists from “red” nations with a high covid-19 rate will be denied entry to Israel.
